Project Life Cards for the "My Favorite (CTMH) Things: Stamps" Blog Hop

Personal not: Before we get to the pretty stuff, I would like to apologize for my long lapse in posting on here and on my Facebook page. There have been some changes in my family's lives and still going through more. I am unsure how much longer I will be able to be a CTMH consultant even though I extremely love the products. I still would be so happy for every follower I get though because even if I am unable to sell CTMH products for much longer I still want to share my creations with you all because I LOVE to and maybe even add in a kids area in my blog for all the activities and crafts my son and I do together. I'm very sorry for not posting in so long, but there are plans of exciting things to come! So please follow my blog to see what the future holds!     -- Hugs,   Brittany

Happy Mother's Day! Baby Shower in a Box! For my far away friend!

Happy Mother's Day to all you amazing mothers!!!! Besides having a bouncing baby yourself, there is nothing better than your dear friend having a SECOND addition to her family! There is also nothing more heart tugging and frustrating than having that friend live on the other side of the country, much to far for this Mommy's finances to go visit. So! I did the best thing I could think of to do ... I made and sent her a Baby Shower in a Box!!!

"My Favorite {CTMH} Things" Blog Hop! Easter/Spring

Welcome to the "My Favorite {CTMH} Things" Blog Hop! Today our theme is Easter or spring projects!

Our Playing With Paper team is sharing artwork featuring some of our favorite products from CTMH. If you have come here from Rachel Rusticus's blog, then you have come to the right place!

Today I have created two Easter treat holders! These are both so fast, simple, and easy to make when using my newest and all tie favorite thing! ...The Artiste Cartridge!!!

The first Easter treat holder is a bunny treat box. I have many males in my family, so of course one of these treats has to be decorated for a boy. I stamped the bunny with this adorable zigzag stamp that came with the "It's your day" stamp set. I used a green sparkle for his eye.

My Favorite {CTMH} Things" Blog Hop! Valentine/love theme!!!

Our Playing With Paper team is sharing artwork featuring some of our favorite products from CTMH. If you have come here from Stephanie Chumbley's blog, then you are on the right path.

Today I have created Project Life cards using Close To My Heart's beautiful stamps! I love using our  high quality supplies to make project life cards! I can make lots of cards in advance and I can personalize my cards for what is going on in my pictures. Project life is a different way of scrapbooking. To do the Project life concept you just make 6"x4" cards and 3"x4" cards for filler cards and journal cards. I use Close To My Heart's page protectors that are made for six 6"x4" pictures. I slide two 3"x4" into one spot (or one 6"x4") and I fill all the spots with pictures or the cards. This look is much quicker than making one hole 12"x12" page or only a few pictures! You get more pictures and journaling in less space in less time. This is also much cheaper since you use less supplies! These are mainly all journal cards but some can be used as filler cards.

Project Life cards inspired by the Mojo Monday and the Heart2heart Challenges!

I have started using our amazing Close To My Heart products to do the creative concept of project life! CTMH's products match each other in a way that takes this concept over the top! Plus I love making my own PL cards. Our beautiful stamps make making fast cards easy! Just stamp at the top and it is beautiful, cheap, and ready for journaling.

My twist on the Whooo's Your Valentine kit

I hope every one had Happy Holiday's! I was hoping to have this on before Christmas... Happy New Year!
This is what I did different with a few out of the 12 treat tubes that come in the Whooo's Your Valentine kit! Instead of making all 12 into Valentines, I made some into cheap Christmas stocking stuffers! Check them out!

December's $5 SOTM!!! + a Sneak Peek!!!

Check out what I just ordered! December 2012 Stamp Of The Month is my favorite of the SOTMs so far! "Year-Round Cheer" is going to bring cheer to me year round (haha) because it has a phrase and picture for every month of the year! I can not wait to get this stamp set! I love how many holidays and themes it covers! I also love that I can use this stamp set for scrapbooking along with cards!

"My Favorite {CTMH} Things" Blog Hop!

Welcome to the "My Favorite {CTMH} Things" Blog Hop! Today our theme is Christmas projects!

Our Playing With Paper team is sharing artwork featuring some of our favorite products from CTMH. If you have come here from Rachel Rusticus's blog then you are on the right path. If you are jumping in our blog hop here then don't worry because at the end it will start over again and you will be able to see the rest of the blogs!

Today I have created two bags for less than $1!!! I got a big pack of the cheapest bags I could find from my local dollar store for just $1. I had lots of scraps left over from making Christmas cards. So I have used scraps to decorate the fronts of these bags. This costs barely anything and looks much better than any bag you can get for a this cost. Also these take very little time! You can't get any better than cheap, great looking, and quick to do!

My All You Can Make Christmas Card Workshop!

I wanted to share the easy and yet cute cards that made up my half of the 15 cards that everyone made at my friend's and my "All You Can Make Christmas Card Workshop"! Look out for my next workshop because I will have them available to ship to anyone who isn't local or who can't make the meeting!

These two you saw earlier on my team's blog hop. :-) Wasn't that nice!?! All those awesome projects from all those different creative people! I love our Monthly Blog Hops!

My apologies for the blue card being partially covered. It does show the amazingly easy adhesive sparkle ribbon used to make an adorable little bow on this card!

The stamping of the background on this  card does take less time if you space them out a little more but I like the look when they are tightly stamped, and wanted to show it that way.

I like the sparkles on one side of the sentiment instead of the usual four corners. It is still more simple than I'm use. With there being allot of first time crafters coming to that workshop it worked well though.

The picture doesn't show it but I did add ink to the edges of the sentiment to this one to finish it off. If it was for me I think I would have added some twine to this one.

This was the first time I had done the three layered stamping technique! I loved it! I'm not sure if I'll be doing it for another workshop but I love the way it turns out!

I also can not get over how this very simple card, looks so complete with only a tie in a tiny bit of ribbon added to it!!! I will never underestimate the power of ribbon again! lol

I had some extras of each card after the workshop...so what to do with plenty of copies of cards? So these 5 of the 8 I made are being sold in my etsy shop as a set! :-) You can check out my Etsy shop and see if there is anything that interests you (there are very few listings currently compared to what all things and occasions I can do) or you can just message me and ask about a custom order (I hope that you will ask about anything you are interested in having made that you do not see)!

All these cards except for the blue one was made with the Pear and Partridge paper pack, the October stamp of the month, and the stamp set that came with the Pear and Partridge card workshop on the go. Shop with me here for your supplies to make either simple or unique creations! I hope you liked these simpler easier cards that take less time during this busy season and less still look adorable!

My son's Rubber Ducky 2nd Birthday!!!

My son turned 2-Years-Old in October! My biggest wish was for him to have fun and enjoy his party. ...And he did! He loved seeing everyone, running after his cousins trying to hug them, eating pizza and cupcakes, and of course he was very interested in the new toys that he found under some paper. He of course loved getting what ever he wanted and being the center of attention for a few hours! lol
The theme of his party was Rubber Ducky! Some may think it was too young of a theme... but he does like his rubber duckies during and after bath time! ...Plus I knew that this was the last year he wouldn't care about the theme and I wanted to choose a theme he wouldn't want next year.

I made his rubber ducky birthday banner using the large chipboard banner from Close To My Heart. This paper is just something I happened to have. The blue pattern paper reminded me of bathroom tiled walls or floor, so I just had to use it! The banner is 5 pieces in all (ducky, I'm, ducky, 2!, ducky). I made scalloped squares to add that bubble look to the banner to match the rest of the decor.

Instead of the traditional scalloped circle cupcake toppers I made these rubber ducky cupcake toppers with scalloped square shape. I made half of the cupcakes them selves blue (turned out more like green since it was yellow cake) and half yellow. I made half of the icing blue and left half white. As you can see in the pictures i did each cupcake with some white and some blue icing. I used an icing bag to do this. (got a little messy since I'm not very skilled at icing)

Jacob seemed to enjoy his cupcake! In the first picture he is taking a bite, in the second picture he is licking the icing off of his lip, and in the third he is licking it off of his chin. HAHAHA I loved these pictures the most and had to share! There is my little man though. I think this is the first picture I've shared with you all on here. He is very independent, very stubborn, and he knows too well that he is handsome.

These are the matching little favors. Honestly this was an error fixed. I planned on putting the paper cupcake topper on each side of the york peppermint with the tooth pick to use the favors as cupcake toppers. After making the first one I realised that it was to heavy for the stick to even hold, let alone the soft cupcakes. So I put one side of the paper toppers on the tooth picks to be toppers on the cupcakes and the other half I adhered to the  little york peppermint patties as favors. I did stack them in this pyramid like shape at the party also.

I hope you all like what I created for my son's 2nd Birthday Party! I am going to put the banner on my Etsy shop soon to sell so if you are interested in this banner then feel free to contact me! I would be so thankful if you started following my blog! I have many other cut outs I can make for your next party if you would like also!

Don't forget I have a giveaway going on still right now with a premade card and more than enough supplies to make two of the premade card or whatever your creativity wants to make!
P.S.- I will have the pictures from my very first Christmas Card Workshop up soon!

My favorite CTMH things BLOG HOP! Plus my Mojo Monday card!

Welcome to the "My favorite CTMH things" BLOG HOP!!! Today our theme is Halloween or fall projects!
Our Playing With Paper team is sharing artwork featuring some of our favorite products from CTMH. If you have come from Norhalma Verzosa's blog (http://fromsnapstoscraps.blogspot.com), then you are in the right place.

I have used CTMH black and grey sparkles in different ways throughout this month. I would like to show you ways you can add these cute sparkles to any project through my Halloween projects!

My first card is also from this week's Mojo Monday card sketch! I used the CTMH sparkles for the little witch's eyes and to accent the scalloped edges and the edge of the grey piece. I also used CTMH Moonlight paper pack for this card.

I used CTMH sparkles to accent the stamp and cut out on this Halloween treat bag! I also used the moonlight paper pack.

I used CTMH sparkles to make this creepy spider's web string!! I again used CTMH's cute Moonlight paper pack.

Here is the Moonlight paper pack I have used for all these projects!

Here are the variety of colors that CTMH's sparkles come in!

It's the perfect time to get your supplies for these projects here! Comment or contact me for the CTMH Idea Book/Catalog!
Now hop on over to Ian Dreger's blog (http://anewbiecrafter.blogspot.com), for your next stop! Feel free to look around and Follow me before leaving! :-) I hope you have a great fall and a Happy Halloween!

First Bag using Close To My Heart supplies

This bag is made using the Close To My Heart Moonlight paper pack. The cut outs were made using my cricut. The "best Day ever" stamp and the dots stamp used on the background are apart of this National Stamping Moth stamp set . This double set of stamps are still only $5 now until the end of September!

Notice that five of the windows along the bottom are small CTMH sparkles! Three of the dots up at the top have a sparkle placed on them also!

I am not positive what I plan to use it for just yet but it will more than likely be filled with special treats for my special someone to eat while we bring our will be 2-year-old trick-or-treating! This would be a very cute bag for treats for each of your children or grandchildren. It could be duplicated multiple times and then given to your class or to all the children who come trick-or-treating at your door!

My blog is new so I would be very thankful to have you as a follower! I hope you enjoyed this little project! Would love to hear your feedback!
